Are white bathrooms boring?

White bathrooms are the preferred choice for many people.
This is primarily down to three key factors. Firstly, the actual basin and toilet are only likely to be available in white ceramic. Whilst many sanitaryware manufacturers have launched other colours including black, white remains the firm favourite.
white bathrooms are perceived as hygienic
This leads to the second reason of hygiene… Unlike coloured sanitaryware, white clearly shows all areas of dirt, making it a much easier colour to keep spotlessly clean.
White makes a room feel more spacious
The third reason is due to space. A typical British bathroom is around the same floor area as that of a king sized bed. It therefore needs to be kept light and airy. White is by far the best colour to achieve this. It’s why most people choose to paint their ceiling white too, so that the room appears taller.
When it comes to bathroom furniture, White Gloss has always been popular. Its reflective properties add to the spacious feeling. Chose a contrasting worksurface to add definition to the basin and toilet, or even a different carcass and co-ordinating worktop to ‘frame’ the white door and drawer fronts.
alternative choices…
Alternatively, consider units that are totally clad in beautiful solid surface?
With a subtle surface detail, Corian® Rain Cloud will add interest to the face of each unit. And, for a totally seamless look, you can opt to have your worksurface with integrated basin made from the same material as the doors and drawers.
Choose decorative floor or wall tiles, which will not only add visual interest to the overall scheme but allow you an accent colour to accessorise with.
Corian® Grey Onyx has more of a feature marbled effect. The soft swirling of the Corian® material looks especially eye-catching on a bank of handleless drawer fronts. It’s a perfect finish for teaming with a crisp Designer White solid surface basin and worktop.
This stylish, on-trend combination will really ‘sing’ when used in conjunction with a equally on-trend accent colour such as copper! The warm metallic lustre of the copper works in perfect harmony to achieve a truly cosmopolitan bathroom, the epitome of contemporary style.
With so many different white bathroom furniture solutions available from manufacturers such as Vanity Hall, choosing a white bathroom is far from being a boring option!
