Buying Guide

Simple steps to creating your dream bathroom

Our simple planning guide is here to help you through the process of ordering your bathroom. See the extensive range of door styles, handles, worktops and cabinet options that combine perfectly to help you create your dream bathroom.

Step 1:  Select your style and finish of door

If you haven’t already, decide whether you want your new bathroom, en-suite or cloakroom to be modern or more traditional. This will help you to decide what door style is right for you. As a rule of thumb, the more detailing that the door has, the more traditional it is likely to be.

If you’re looking for a contemporary feel, consider Natura from our Collection range. Alternatively, our VH2 range has a simply styled door.

For a more traditional feel, our In-Frame options would be ideal. Alternatively consider the Shaker or the Classic door styles which feature a ‘raised and fielded’ design.

Once you’ve chosen your door style, it’s time to select the finish. At Vanity Hall we offer satin painted painted woodgrain, or a choice of natural wood finishes. If you’re struggling to choose from our vast selection of finishes, why not use our sampling service?

Step 2: Select the cabinets and sizes required

Decide whether you are wanting your bathroom furniture to be wall-hung or floor standing. Our Modular furniture has to be wall-hung, whereas our fitted furniture can be installed both wall-hung or with a plinth. And, if you choose our In-Frame range, the units you select will dictate whether the furniture is floor standing or not.

Just as some of our units are offered as doors or drawers, some of our furniture is offered in different depths. Our shallower depth units have been specifically designed for more compact bathrooms, en-suites or cloakrooms and if space permits, an extra deep unit will give you just that bit more storage space.

The majority of our dealers offer a design service and can plan your bathroom accordingly, saving you time. By seeing your new bathroom ‘virtually’ before you commit to buy may also save you from any unnecessary mistakes and expense.

Step 3: Select your handles

Our extensive range of handles and knobs allows you to further customise your units. Choose from Chrome, Nickel, Antique Copper, Matt Black and even Crystal, or for the ultimate contemporary look, why not opt for handle-less units?

Step 4: Select your worktop finish and colour

For the ultimate worktop, choose from one of our stunning Corian solid surfaces. Our comprehensive range includes marble, sandstone and granite effects. Virtually invisible to the eye, any joins are seamlessly hand finished to offer a truly luxurious work surface.

Alternatively choose Mirostone, a stunning solid surface with all the beauty and feel of natural stone combined with exceptional practicality.

Other options include our extensive range of laminate worktops, specifically selected to complement our finishes. Or our concise range of veneers offer the aesthetic appeal of a wooden work surface, coupled with the added practicality of a laminate.

Step 5: Select your washbasin and WC

Vanity Hall offers a diverse selection of washbasins. Once you have decided on your choice of washbasin unit, choose from our stunning Corian basins, which are fully integrated or undermounted into the work surface to ceramic sit-on or semi-recessed basins.

Next select your pan. Choose from wall-hung or back-to-wall depending on the look and style you wish to achieve. Don’t forget that if you’ve chosen a wall-hung pan you will need to purchase a suitable wall-hung bracket. Why not ask your chosen dealer who they would recommend? With over 30 years experience, many of our dealers have been in the bathroom industry as long as we have!
